Imagination Unlocked 7

Imagination Unlocked 7

19th to 30th August 2026  10am to 4.30pm

This exhibition will feature the work of David Brooke, Caroline Ireland and Elaine Dixon, all painters who work from the imagination but in very different styles and mediums.  Be prepared to be taken on mysterious journeys into imaginary worlds,  or find inspiration in the extraordinary.

David Brooke’s work is meticulously painted in layers of acrylic paint.  His work has a mythological, story-telling feel to it, though his intention is that the viewer will bring their own stories to each painting.

Caroline Ireland’s work often has a dream-like quality in vibrant colours using pastel and watercolour, inspired by dreams, music or poetry, or simply from observation in the form of still life.

Elaine Dixon attempts to paint human emotions, experiences, events, using charcoal, oil paint and ink, playing with the human form to exaggerate shape, shrinking and enlarging, to attempt expression in her own way.
