LETTING ARRANGEMENTS
The Eype Centre for the Arts is able to let the premises as a venue for musical events and exhibitions. Rates are dependent on requirements and are negotiable with the Director but as a rough guide there is a minimum charge of £125.00.
This would apply for somebody wanting to use the chapel for an afternoon/evening musical or theatrical performance. A full day’s charge would be £250.00. Neither of these charges would include volunteer support staff. Should this be required the charges would be doubled.
The Eype Centre for the Arts will negotiate letting arrangements for visual artists who wish to man their own shows outside of those organised by the Centre itself and outside of the already booked times of the whole of September and during the biannual Dorset Arts Weeks.
The Centre charges a commission of 25% of the total sum of works sold with a minimum of £125.00 for a two-week period. If no works are sold the charge is therefore £125.00. If £1,000.00 is taken the charge would be £250.00.
These charges do not include any Private View cards or postings, or access to the Centre’s mailing list database. However, the Centre will undertake some public relations with notices to the local Press of forthcoming exhibitions and advice to members of the Centre’s mailing list. These third party exhibitions will also be listed on the Centre’s web site with links to the artists’ own web sites.
The charge for use of the Chapel for recordings is £150.00 per day. The use of our sound and lighting engineer Campbell Hughes to make a recording is subject to another charge which is by negotiation with Mr. Hughes.
Any use of the chapel for events other than art events such as memorials, wedding blessings etc. is by negotiation with the Vicar who is:
