FRIENDS PROGRAMME

Organising the events, keeping our growing mailing list informed of our programme and producing all marketing and publicity material in-house is a costly affair despite it being undertaken on a voluntary basis.

Painting by Stephen Bishop - Jurassic SeaReceiving no external funding apart from the profits generated from the arts events, the management committee of 2003 decided to introduce the ‘Friends’ of The Eype Church Centre for the Arts programme. They chose the format of a family membership that would allow family groups to receive discounted ticket prices for some events on payment of a yearly fee of £25.00.

The money thus raised helps with the administration of what has now been renamed the Eype Centre for the Arts to differentiate the arts from the religious activities at St. Peter’s. The church remains a consecrated building with monthly services and the occasional funeral. Mrs. Nadia Mouton, a keen benefactor and supporter of St. Peter’s, has now sadly joined her husband in the churchyard.

The ‘Friends’ membership has grown over the past six years and now provides a small but important contribution towards office expenses.

We are keen to attract more members and hope that over time the Friends will evolve into a separately administered programme under the leadership of one of its members.

If you would like to support our work by becoming a ‘Friend’ or sponsor of The Eype Centre for the Arts please contact us.
